In 1955, not long after he experienced regular success as an entertainer in music and television, country western singer Johnny Bond formed Johnny Bond Publishing, home of Red River Songs, Inc, Vidor Publications, Inc and Laredo.

He went on to sign legendary artists Tommy Duncan, Alton & Rabon Delmore, Harlan Howard, Eddie Miller, Freddie Hart, Joe & Roselee Maphis, Larry & Lorrie Collins, Tex Atchison, Tommy Collins, Billy Mize, Cindy Walker, Lefty Frizzell, Merle Travis, Wynn Stewart, Buck Graves, Leroy Mack, Jimmy Wakely, and Hank Garland. Our songs have proved timeless, with interest in our catalog remaining consistent over six decades.

 

We now have a catalog of over 250 songs from the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s. They’ve been featured in numerous film and television productions, and covered by such stars as Dolly Parton, Ricki Skaggs, and Willie Nelson.

 

With a renewed interest in authentic traditional country music sweeping America, we wanted to make the licensing process as easy as possible for those interested in recording/performing, or licensing songs for TV/Film and other media. We also want a place for family, friends, and fans to connect with us, to share their thoughts and experiences with this wonderful catalog and era of music.
